WATSU TANTSU EXPLORE FLOW

WATSU TANTSU EXPLORER

A new Watsu course for EVERYBODY

Share the creative engagement of your life force on land and in water.
This is an ideal first entry into the complementary forms of Watsu and Tantsu and their creative potential. Rather than first having to master a form, in this course, students learn simple ways to access the creativity of Free Flow through which they can continue exploring with others on the Explorer Path. Those who have taken other Watsu classes find that, besides providing them with a way to creatively share Tantsu with family and freinds, this course sets them on a new path.

50 hours, half in water
No prerequisite

Watsu Explorer Path

The Explorer Path complements the Practitioner Path. On the latter you learn in classes a form and how to adapt it to clients. On the Explorer Path you learn a format with which, in class and outside of class, you can meet with any two others who are anyplace on the path and share exploring Watsu’s creative engagement of our life force.

A meeting on the Path has three stages. In the first you explore your own body’s movement in water. In the second the three of you form an Explorer Team. Each shares responsibility for their own comfort. If it is during a class, the team explores all the possibilities in what the instructor assigns. The goal is not to find the best way but to develop your creative play and to store in your body and the back of your mind possibilities that might spontaneously occur in Free Flow. If it is outside a class, each brings to the team their most recent assignment in their Watsu Free Flow book, or whatever else they wish to explore. The third stage of the meeting is a round in which each receives a complete session from the other two.

The session in a round has three phases. The first is the carefully orchestrated opening moves that connect movement to breath in a way that brings us deep into the stillness within. In the second phase the one that brought you there explores:
• the movement that rises up out of that stillness (The Inner Way)
• the many possibilities in their assignment (The Middle Way)
• the Flow in which whatever was stored from previous explorations can spontaneously appear (The Outer Way).
Then the other explores the same three ways from the other side. In the third phase of the session the first to float you joins the other and the two explore how the more closely they coordinate their moves, the more they become one in their creativity. Three become one.

The above format was developed and tested in classes that Harold Dull and Fabrizo Dalle Piane taught combining the new form of Tantsu and Watsu. Before this course with Tantsu's help in learning to access inner movement, Free Flow was introduced only after students mastered the form on the professional path.
Students of any of the above will have access through the Registry to others who are on the path, and to pools available to them.
Joining his new Tantsu a Yoga of the Heart, Harold’s latest book, Watsu Free Flow, lays out the stations at which anyone can continue meeting others on their Explorer Path. This Path brings us one step closer to the world Harold envisioned when he started developing Watsu and Tantsu, a world in which everyone can float or hold each other without intention, a new humanism that engages the creativity of our life force.
